PILLAR holds what United States school districts disclosed paying, what their states allocated them, and what those districts bought. Ask it something. You will get an answer with its source attached, or a straight admission that the record does not cover it.

What this can and cannot tell you

An answer is only worth as much as the record behind it. Three things worth knowing before you rely on one.

It reads disclosure files, not budgets
Payment records show what left the district and to whom. They are not the district's budget, not its full technology spending, and not a contract value. A district can hold a contract this record never sees.

Coverage is uneven by state
States publish on different schedules, at different thresholds, and in different detail. Maryland discloses payments at or above $25,000 by statute. Some states publish nothing usable at district level. Ask which state you are in and you will be told what exists.

It should tell you when it does not know
An answer that cannot be traced to a file is worth nothing here. If you get a figure without a source, or a source that does not check out, that is a defect and we want to hear about it.
